Curious about GoodBelly?
GoodBelly cereals are oat based. Why are oats good for my digestion?
Oats contain two types of fibre called soluble and insoluble fibre, both of which are good for digestion. Insoluble fibre works by absorbing water in the large intestine, which helps to increase faecal bulk and support normal laxation. Soluble fibre is broken down by the bacteria in the gut, which helps to increase their mass and thus helps increases faecal bulk – a good indicator of healthy digestion.
What are live cultures?
Live cultures are live microorganisms that, when ingested, should reach the large intestine alive. The science is still developing to determine the specific health benefits of live cultures, but their safety for human consumption has been well established.
