Why GoodBelly

GoodBelly® has a history of using live cultures to make bellies happy – starting with GoodBelly Probiotics, the leading manufacturer of juices containing live cultures in the US.

At GoodBelly® Cereal, brought to you by Cereal Partners Worldwide (a joint venture of Nestlé & General Mills), we believe that when your gut feels good, all else follows. So we created a cereal to help you feed your gut with oat fibre and live cultures - an excellent way to keep it healthy![1]

Curious about GoodBelly?

GoodBelly cereals are oat based. Why are oats good for my digestion?

Oats contain two types of fibre called soluble and insoluble fibre, both of which are good for digestion. Insoluble fibre works by absorbing water in the large intestine, which helps to increase faecal bulk and support normal laxation. Soluble fibre is broken down by the bacteria in the gut, which helps to increase their mass and thus helps increases faecal bulk – a good indicator of healthy digestion.

What are live cultures?

Live cultures are live microorganisms that, when ingested, should reach the large intestine alive. The science is still developing to determine the specific health benefits of live cultures, but their safety for human consumption has been well established.
